3 years ago today our second son was born,
Johannes
God is gracious
Thank you Father for graciously giving us a most joyful, thankful, and affectionate son.
Today we started the day with a special birthday breakfast of Finnish oven Pancakes, followed by opening his gift from Mommy, a scrapbook of his past year, followed by his gifts from Thaddeus, "Auntie" Victoria and "Uncle" Rick (Michigan adoptees), Grammy and Grandpa, and Nana and papa.
This afternoon was spent fulfilling his longtime desire to ride a real horse. We took a trip to a local farm where we buy our grass fed beef from and got the royal treatment of horse rides, John Deere Gator rides, and a personal tour of the farm which included the cows, pigs, and smoke-house. The day was finished off with a nice dinner at home and carrot cake and homemade ice cream. He nearly fell asleep at the dinner table, but he made it and is happy to be THREE!!!
Thank you Grammy and Grandpa for the motorcycle and Bible stories Hannes loves storytime and the motorcycle has been a great hit. |
His dream came true for today. He has been wanting to ride a real horse for a long time now and every time we pass one he asks to ride it. |
Cool cat in the saddle |
Serious rider now |
Ready for a" round up" "He is not a lad, brother, he's a MAN." "The Man from Snowy River..." -Clancy- All we Lamberts have forever kept that line in our heads :o) |
Another confident rider |
Both boys awoke this morning eager to wear bandanas and prepare for a day of riding horses |
Almost got three sets of eyes looking at the camera "Brothers" |
Loving our time on the farm |
A great day had by all, with only a few minor 3 yr old moments throughout the day. I managed to keep those off the camera :o) |
