February has turned out to be a cold month... always the toughest month to be in Michigan, especially when we start seeing blossom pictures and hear of yard work in the NW.
However, we are warmed by fabulous friends, good food, and playing with Thaddeus.

We celebrated Valentine's Day with Rick and Victoria
The dinner put on by Victoria and Janelle was extremely aesthetic for the occasion, as all items were heart shaped.

Thaddeus got a gift this week while at the gym with Janelle; some racquetball players gave him one of their balls and he has hardly let it out of his sight since. He loves using his putter made by Papa Davis.

Janelle has never received red roses from me, so I figured it was definitely time. I surprised her with a delivery of 36 roses this past week.

Let's Be MOVED...to the prayer closet

Piper has a way of taking the message of dying to self to a whole new level.
Oh that I would decrease, so that HE might increase

Paul Washer passionately calling all men to be warriors for Christ.
I find it interesting how the call to battle is so inspiring for most men, and yet the battle weapons we are called to use are the very weapons we struggle to keep sharp. In fact it is our wives, mothers, and grandmothers that tend to wage the war against the condition of our souls with THE appropriate weapons.

Leonard Ravenhill-"The men who have been the most heroic for God have been the men with the greatest devotional life."
AW Tozer- "My God, look at all the riches there were in Jesus Christ, and I come to the judgement seat almost a pauper."

It is time to brag on Janelle a bit with this post...

This is what I get to come home to!!!!
Janelle is a master at keeping food delectable even in the heart of a cold January.
